Half Dome

Half Dome has always carried a sense of endurance, but in black and white it reveals a deeper truth. Stripped of color, the shadows carve into the granite like brushstrokes, giving the rock a timeless weight. I chose to edit this image this way because it mirrors how I felt standing there, quiet, reflective, and in awe of something that has endured far longer than any of us. To me, this photograph is less about capturing a landscape and more about honoring the silence and strength that Half Dome represents.
